چکیده

Consider a symmetric oligopoly Cournot competition with linear cost functions ci (qi ) = cqi , 1 ≤ i ≤ n. The inverse demand function, F(Q), Q > 0, is a positive function (no monotonicity, continuity, or differentiability assumptions on F are needed). The profit function of Firm i is defined on Rn ++ as 5i (q1, q2, . . . , qn) = F(Q)qi − cqi , where Q =∑nj=1 qj . Define a function P: Rn ++ −→ R: P(q1, q2, . . . , qn) = q1q2 · · · qn(F(Q)− c). For every Firm i , and for every q−i ∈ Rn−1 ++ , 5i (qi , q−i )−5i (xi , q−i ) > 0, iff P(qi , q−i )− P(xi , q−i ) > 0, ∀qi , xi ∈ R++. (1.1)

Fuzzy transferable-utility games: a weighted allocation and related results

By considering the supreme-utilities among fuzzy sets and the weights among participants simultaneously, we introduce the supreme-weighted value on fuzzy transferable-utility games. Further, we provide some equivalent relations to characterize the family of all solutions that admit a potential on weights. We also propose the dividend approach to provide alternative viewpoint for the potential a...

Potential Games: Theory and Application in Wireless Networks

Potential games are subclass of strategic normal form games. Each potential game admits a potential function which is the key idea of potential games. Potential function characterizes special behavior of payoff functions. There are several notions of potential games. In this paper, I study some notions of potential games and explain the relation between potential games and potential functions. ...

Graphical Potential Games

Potential games, originally introduced in the early 1990’s by Lloyd Shapley, the 2012 Nobel Laureate in Economics, and his colleague Dov Monderer, are a very important class of models in game theory. They have special properties such as the existence of Nash equilibria in pure strategies. This note introduces graphical versions of potential games. Special cases of graphical potential games have...

Simple Characterizations of Potential Games and Zero-sum Games

We provide several tests to determine whether a game is a potential game or whether it is a zero-sum equivalent game—a game which is strategically equivalent to a zero-sum game in the same way that a potential game is strategically equivalent to a common interest game. We present a unified framework applicable for both potential and zero-sum equivalent games by deriving a simple but useful char...

Decompositions of two player games: potential, zero-sum, and stable games

We introduce several methods of decomposition for two player normal form games. Viewing the set of all games as a vector space, we exhibit explicit orthonormal bases for the subspaces of potential games, zero-sum games, and their orthogonal complements which we call anti-potential games and anti-zero-sum games, respectively. Perhaps surprisingly, every anti-potential game comes either from the ...

Vector Games with Potential Function

The theory of non cooperative games with potential function was introduced by Monderer and Shapley in 1996. Such games have interesting properties, among which is the existence of equilibria in pure strategies. The paper by Monderer and Shapley has inspired many game theory researchers. In the present paper, many classes of multiobjective games with potential functions are studied. The notions ...
